A domain name is the name you type into the address bar of a browser (such as Internet Explorer, Chrome or Netscape) to get to a website on the web. A domain name usually reflects your trading name or the subject of your website, for example: trafficmedia.com, news.net, www.education.org are all domain names.
- Why do I need to register a domain name?

- What does it mean to register a domain name?

By registering a domain name, you have the sole right to the use of this domain name. Your name and business information are added to ICANN's database (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers). This process is called registering a domain name. Only ICANN approved registrars (such as TrafficMedia) can register domain names.
- Do I own my domain name once it is registered?

A domain name cannot be "owned". Subject to the registrar's terms and conditions by registering a domain name you are entitled the exclusive use and automatic right of renewal.

A domain extension, also referred to as TLD (Top Level Domain), suffix or domain root, is the last part of the domain name, that is, the label that follows the last dot of a domain name. For example, .COM, .NET, .ORG, etc. are all domain extensions.
- What characters can I use when registering a domain name?

- Latin letters (a-z)
- Numbers (0-9)
- Hyphen (-). Please, keep in mind that a domain name cannot start or end with a hyphen.

Using our WHOIS search allows the public to see who is the owner of a particular domain name as well as other information about the domain name. Our WHOIS search will provide you with the contact information of the person or organization that registered the domain name you are interested in.
- How do I register a domain name?

The registration process is quite simple:
- Choose a domain name. There are millions of available domain names. Try to think of a memorable name that will reflect your trading name or the subject of your website. You can use combinations of several words or separate words with the hyphen symbol.
- Check domain name's availability. You can check if the domain name you are interested in is available by using our Domain Name Search tool.
- Register. If the domain name you want to register is available, you can buy it using our Domain Registration service. Please bear in mind that new domain names may take up to 48 hours to become available.
- How many domain names can I register?

You can register as many available domain names as you like. TrafficMedia Domain Registration service allows you to register several domains at a time (Bulk Register).
- How long does it take before my domain is active?

It usually takes about 24-hours before your domain name is active, because all Internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect the new site's location.
- How do I restore my Username and Password?

Your User Name is the email address that you used during the Signup. To restore a password:
- Click Login > Help me retrieve password.
- In the Customer Email text field, enter the email address you registered with.
- Copy the letters and numbers you see in the captcha (the image on the right of the text field)
- Click Submit. An email with a verification code will be sent to your email address.
- To reset your password, follow the link with the verification code.
- I want to transfer domains to TrafficMedia from another registrar. Where do I get the authorization codes (EPP)?

In order to transfer domains from other registrars to TrafficMedia, you need to get the domain authorization code (also known as EPP). You can retrieve the authorization code from your current registrar's support center.
- Can I transfer my domains to another TrafficMedia account?

If you want to transfer your domains from one TrafficMedia account to another, use the Push Domains option. To push domains:
- Login to your account..
- Go to Domains > Push Domains.
- Enter the list of domain names you would like to push to another TrafficMedia account. Enter each domain name on an individual line.
- Enter the AccountID of the destination account and your Password.
- Click Submit.
- Why do I need to lock my domains?

We strongly recommend keeping your domains permanently locked in order to prevent them from unauthorized deletion or transfer to other registrars.
- How do I lock/unlock domains?

To lock/unlock domains:
- Login to your account.
- Go to Domains > Manage Domains.
- Use the checkboxes to select the domains you would like to lock/unlock.
- Click the Locking tab.
- Choose one of the following options:
- Lock: to disable deletion and transfer of domains.
- Unlock: to enable deletion and transfer of domains.
- Click Save.
- How do I transfer domains from TrafficMedia to other registrars?

To transfer domains from TrafficMedia to other registrars, follow the steps below:
- Login to your account.
- Go to Domains > Transfer Domain > Bulk Transfer Out.
- In the text field, type the list of domain names you wish to transfer from your account to other registrars.
- To get the authorization codes for these domains, click Submit.
- Will the contact information I provide be publically available?

The contact information that you provide during domain registration is publicly available on a "Whois" website. TrafficMedia makes the information available in order to allow rapid resolution of technical problems, as well as various legal issues, such as copyright and trademark protection. The contact information listed in the Whois database will include your name, address, phone number, email address and domain name expiration date, your host name and IP address.

I didn't renew the domain name and it expired. When will I be able to re-register it again?

The redemption period is 45 days after the expiration date. After 5 more days the domain name will be released from our system.

- Can I label my parked domains as offered for sale?

Yes, TrafficMedia allows you to control all aspects of your domain's parking page:
- Template: enables you to change the way your parking page looks. Our templates are adapted to various subjects and designed to reflect the content of the parking page.
- Site Title: enables you to set the text that appears at the top of visitors' web browsers when they are viewing the domain's parking page.
- For Sale: enables you to label domains as offered for sale. The For Sale link allows users to contact via the contact form.

- Will I remain in possession of my domain?

Yes, you will remain in possession of your domain. The only thing necessary for the DomainParking Media program is that you point your domains to our servers. You will not have to change the registration data.
- How do I add domains to my Domain Parking account?

To add domains:
- Login to your account.
- Go to Domain Management > Add Domains.
- In the text field, enter the domains you would like to add.
- Click Add Domains.
- Edit your domain registrar settings, using one of the following two methods:
- WARNING:Use only one of them, NOT both!
- Edit Nameserver settings: to point your domain name from your registrar to the TrafficMedia ParkingSpa servers.
- NOTE: We strongly recommend using the Edit Nameserver Settings method, as this method is easier to implement for inexperienced users and is more stable.
- Activate URL Redirection: to redirect your domain name to our ParkingSpa websites. If you choose to activate URL Redirection, the URL of your domain will be replaced with a URL of a TrafficMedia parking page.
- How do I configure domain Nameserver settings for the domains I registered with TrafficMedia?

NOTE:In order to configure Nameserver settings for the domains registered with a third-part registrsr, contact your current registrar's support center.
If the domains you are going to park are registered with Trafficmedia, then do the following:
- Go to http://trafficmedia.com/domains/
- Login to your DomainRegistration Media account.
- Go to Domains > Manage Domains.
- Use the checkbox to select the domain whose NS records you would like to edit.
- Click the NS Settings tab.
- Select the Use Custom DNS option.
- Enter the following lines in the corresponding text fields:
- ns1: ns1.parkingspa.com
- ns2: ns2.parkingspa.com
- Click Save.
- How do I activate URL redirection for the domains I registered with TrafficMedia?

NOTE:In order to activate URL Redirection for the domains registered with a third-part registrsr, contact your current registrar's support center.
If the domains you are going to park are registered with Trafficmedia, then do the following:
- Go to http://trafficmedia.com/domains/
- Login to your DomainRegistration Media account.
- Go to Domains > Manage Domains.
- Use the checkbox to select the domain whose NS records you would like to edit.
- Click the DNS Settings tab.
- Choose Record Type "URL Redirect 301" for the three following Host Name types:
- Row one: "www"
- Row two: "@"
- Row three: "*"
- In the Address column, enter the following URL for each Host Name type:
- http://hus.parkingspa.com/?cid=ID&domain=Domain.com
- Substitute ID with your User ID, and substitute Domain.com with the domain name you are parking with TrafficMedia.
- Click Save. Your domain is now configured to point to TrafficMedia parking servers.
- NOTE:To edit the DNS settings of a domain registered with a third-party registrar, please contact your current registrar's support center.
- How do I restore my Username and Password?

You can edit the design of your website whenever you would like to. However there are two website elements that can't be changed once the website has been published: the website interface language and number of sidebars.

Do I have to configure the settings of my browser in order to start working with Media SiteBuilder?

Before you start working with Media SiteBuilder you need to configure the following settings of your Browser:
- Login to your Media SiteBuilder account.
- In Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, go to Tools > Internet Options. The Internet Options dialog box appears.
- In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Security tab.
- Select Local Intranet and click Sites to open the Local Intranet dialog box.
- In the Local Intranet dialog box, click Advanced. The address you need to add to the trusted websites is automatically filled into the Add this website to the zone text field. Here is a sample address:
- Click Add.
- Click Close and save the changes.

- Does Media SiteBuilder provide predefined website designs?

Media SiteBuilder provides a large number of high quality predefined website designs and image galleries which match various topics and reflect website content. We are constantly updating the galleries and adding new designs which reflect the latest world trends.
- Why does the first website I build with Media SiteBuilder has to be in the Simple Site Designer mode?

We did it to allow you first get familiar with the Media SiteBuilder system, understand the basic principles of operations, and learn how to perform the most common tasks. If you feel that you are familiar enough with the Media SiteBuilder system, then you can switch to the Advanced Site Designer mode in the Colors and Sidebars section by clicking the Advanced Header link.
- Once I've chosen the website interface language, will I be able to change it later?

No. You have to be careful when you choose the website interface language. Once you have chosen and saved the interface language of your website, you will not be able to change it for this particular website again. The Interface Language affects the language of the Media SiteBuilder wizard, the navigation bars and the typing direction of the website. For example if you choose a right-to-left language, the MediaSiteBuilder wizard menus and toolbars will be translated into the selected language and the typing direction of your website will be set to right-to-left.
However, you always have the option to clean the contents of your website and start all over again. To clean the website contents and start designing a website from the beginning:
- Login to your Media SiteBuilder account.
- Go to Clients Control > Clients.
- In the Clients List section, choose the website whose contents you would like to delete and right-click the website.
- Click Clean Website Content. The confirmation dialog box appears.
- To confirm the operation, click OK. The contents of your website are deleted now and you can start building the website from the beginning.
- Can I rename my website?

To rename a website:
- Login to your Media Sitebuilder account.
- Go to Clients Control > Clients.
- In the Clients List section, choose the website whose contents you would like to rename and right-click the website.
- Click Edit Client / Client Info to open the Client Information tab.
- In the Client Information tab, in the Organization text field enter a new name of the website.
- Click Update Website to save the changes.
- How do I upload the Main Header Image?

To upload the Main Header Image:
- In the Header Elements tab, under the Main Header Image section, choose the Upload the Main Image option.
- Click Browse to locate the image file you want to use.
- Click Upload. If the image size is greater than 778 pixels in length, it will be automatically cut into six images that fit the website header.
- Choose the desired image from the list and click Select to set the image as your Main Header Image.
- To save the changes and go to the Website Layout tab, click Next.
- How do I upload a logo?

To upload a logo:
- In the Header Elements tab, under the Logo section, choose the Upload Logo option.
- Click Browse to locate the image file you want to use.
- Click Upload.
- To save the changes and go to the Website Layout tab, click Next.
- How do I add a slogan?

To add a slogan:
- In the Header Elements tab, under the Slogan section, enter the desired slogan text.
- To save the changes and go to the Website Layout tab, click Next.
- What is a website layout?

A website layout defines the location of the three website elements: Main Header Image, Logo, and the Top Navigation Bar.
- Once I've chosen the number of website sidebars, will I be able to change it later?

No. You have to be careful when you choose the number of website sidebars. Once you've chosen the number of sidebars and saved the changes, you won't be able to change the number of sidebars for the current website.
However, you always have the option to clean the contents of your website and start all over again. To clean the website contents and start designing a website from the beginning:
- Login to your Media SiteBuilder account.
- Go to Clients Control > Clients.
- In the Clients List section, choose the website whose contents you would like to delete and right-click the website.
- Click Clean Website Content. The confirmation dialog box appears.
- To confirm the operation, click OK. The contents of your website are deleted now and you can start building the website from the beginning.

Once I've chosen a website layout, will I be able to change it later?

Yes. The website layout that you've chosen can be changed at any time. A website layout defines the location of the three website elements: Main Header Image, Logo, and the Top Navigation Bar, so keep in mind that changing the website layout will affect the Header Elements of your website.

Why am I unable to add a subcategory?
-
There are Skin Styles that do not support subcategories. If you want to add subcategories to a Top Navigation Bar or Side Navigation Bar, then you need to use the Skin Style that supports subcategories, for example the Fantasy Skin Style.

How do I add a Flash Effect to the website header?

To add a flash effect to the website Main Header Image:
- In the Colors & Sidebars tab, click Add Flash to open the Flash Layers for Headers section.
- If your website has two Headers (the Top Header for the logo and the Bottom Header for the Main Header Image), in the Add Flash To section of the toolbar, choose the Header you want to apply the flash effect to.
- Click Add Flash Layer to open the Flash Library.
- In the Flash Library window, under the Flash Gallery section, choose a Flash Effect category from the list.
- Chosse the desired flash effect and click Select to apply the Flash Effect to the website header.

Can I add my own flash effect to the website header?

To add a flash effect to the website Main Header Image:
- In the Colors & Sidebars tab, click Add Flash to open the Flash Layers for Headers section.
- If your website has two Headers (the Top Header for the logo and the Bottom Header for the Main Header Image), in the Add Flash To section of the toolbar, choose the Header you want to apply the flash effect to.
- Click Add Flash Layer to open the Flash Library.
- In the Flash Library window, under the Flash Gallery section, under the Flash Upload section, click Browse to locate the flash file you want to use.

Categories are the links in the navigation bars that lead to the internal website pages. The Top Navigation Bar and Sidebars contain categories and subcategories. Every new category adds an internal page to the website and is linked to the corresponding page.
- How do I add a category?

To add a category:
- In the Content Management component, click the Edit Content tab.
- Click Add/Rename Page. The Manage Categories window appears.
- In the Manage Categories window, you can do the following:
- Add categories to the Top Navigation Bar.
- Add categories to the Side Navigation Bar.
- In the text field, enter a category name.
- Click Add.
- Click OK to save the changes.
- How do I remove a category?

To remove a category:
- In the Content Management component, click the Edit Content tab.
- Click Add/Rename Page. The Manage Categories window appears.
- In the Manage Categories window, select the category you would like to remove.
- Click the X (Delete / Remove) button.
- What is a Content Item?

Content Items are the articles that make up your actual website content. There are five basic types of Content Items:
- Text and Images Items: use these Content Items for simple articles with illustrations.
- Summary, Group, and Gallery Items: use these Content Items for brief illustrated summaries organized in columns.
- Image Items: use these Content Items for large images with brief descriptions and links.
- Special Items: use these Content Items to insert blank space between other Content Items and to add plain text to the page, to insert news tickers, etc.
- Code and Multimedia Items: use these Content Items to insert multimedia or any other code.
- Sidebar Items: use these Content Items to place Yahoo! Ads on your page.
- How do I add and edit Content Items?

To add a Content Item:
- In the Top Navigation Bar or Side Navigation Bar, click the category whose content you would like to edit.
- In the Media SideBuilder toolbar, choose the Content Item you would like to add to the page.
- Drag and drop the desired Content Item onto the page.
- Double-click the Content Item you would like to edit. The Edit Content Item window appears.
- In the Edit Content Item window, make the necessary changes and click OK.
- How do I remove a Content Item?

To remove a Content Item:
- Right-click the Content Item you would like to remove from the page.
- Click Delete Item.
- To confirm the operation, click OK.
- How do I add the Contact Us form to my website?

To download the invoice:
- Login to your Media SiteBuilder account.
- Go to the Content Management component and click the Contact Us Posts tab.
- Click the Contact Us Form link on the toolbar.
- To edit the text that will appear on the top of the Contact Us form, click Edit Header.
- To edit the text that will appear on the bottom of the Contact Us form, click Edit Footer.
- To add the Contact Us form to your website, click Submit.
- How can I view the posts sent via the Contact Us form?

To view the Contact Us posts:
- Login to your Media SiteBuilder account.
- Go to the Content Management component and click the Contact Us Posts tab.
- Click the View Posts link on the sidebar.

You can use the Multimedia Content Item to embed videos from youtube.com or upload your own flash file.
If you want to embed other streaming media (video or audio) or any other code, use Code Content Item.
NOTE: By default, the Code Multimedia Item is deactivated.
To activate the Code Content Item:
- Login to your Media SiteBuilder account.
- Go to Client Info > Special Features.

Yes, you can use Google Adsense as well as any other Internet advertising model. To add the desired PPC code:
- Login to your Media SiteBuilder account.
- Go to Client Info > Special Features.
- Use the checkbox to select the Allow Client to Use Code Item option.
- Click Continue.
- Go to Content Management > Edit Content.
- Drag and drop the Code Content Item on to the page or sidebar.
- Double-click the Code Content Item. The Edit HTML Item window appears.
- Paste the code into the Code text field of the Edit HTML Item window.
- Click OK.
- How can I place an anchor link on a website page?

Page anchor is a useful HTML script that allows your visitors to jump directly to the part of the webpage that interests them without having to scroll the whole page up and down. To add an anchor that jumps from the page top to bottom:
- Login to your Media SiteBuilder account.
- Go to Content Management > Edit Content.
- Drag and drop the Code Item onto the page section where you would like the anchor link to appear.
- Double-click the Code Content Item. The Edit HTML Item window appears.
- In the Edit HTML Item window, enter the following line:
<a href="#Point">Jump to the Point you like on page</a>
- Drag and drop the Code Item onto the page section where you would like the anchor link to lead to.
- Double-click the Code Item. The Edit HML Item window appears.

In order to point your private domain to the website you've built with Media SiteBuilder, you need to configure your domain's DNS settings. To configure domain DNS settings:
- Go to the website where you bought and registered your domain (your current registrar) and login using your Username and Password.
- Go to the domain management area.
- Configure your domain's DNS settings as follows:
- International/US Customers: For the "www" and "@" Host Name, choose Record Type "A Record" and enter the following IP address: 66.246.235.188
- Israeli Customers: For the "www" and "@" Host Name, choose Record Type "A Record" and enter the following IP address: 212.150.51.130
NOTE:If you have any difficulty with configuring your domain's DNS settings, contact your current registrar's support center.
WARNING:Don't change any other DNS settings except for those described above, this may cause your website to stop working.
- Login to your Media SiteBuilder account.
- In to the Clients Control section, click the website that you would like to link to your domain name. The Client Information tab is opened.
- In the System Domain Name section, in the Using Private Domain text field, enter the domain name whose DNS settings you've configured with your current registrar.
- Click Add to add the domain name.
- To save the changes, click Update Website.
NOTE:You may configure as many domains as you like to point to the same website.

- Login to your Media SiteBuilder account.
- Go to the Content Management component.
- Click the Site Setup tab.

- In the Header Free Text text field, paste the meta tag code that you got from Google Analytics.
- Click Save.
